Citizens feel that their ideas are not considered during a community engagement process. Active volunteers feel underappreciated. Volunteer burnout is growing. How can you make it fun and meaningful? How will you let citizens know that they did make a difference? Those that care about their community will have access to a full array of tools and solutions.
The Institute makes tips and techniques available to its members and donors. We realize that those active in community building do not have time to read volumes of information much less collect information from other communities that may have embarked on a similar project. The Institute is in the process of developing handy 'how-to' guides on a variety of projects that are on the front line of many communities. We also offer the services of a cadre of senior advisors that can help you navigate and manage new initiatives in your community.
The Guidebook for Integrated Planning outlines principles and best practices that help stakeholders make real choices about how much change is appropriate in their community and how to manage the change. This guidebook, as well as others will be made available to members and donors over the next few months as we launch the Institute's tool boxes.
